Fluid Extractors?

Talking about devices like these:

Anyone have any experience? I still intend to do oil changes the old fashioned way, but thought these might be useful for more regularly changing the transmission fluid etc.

Thoughts? Comments?

I have wanted to get one just never have. I would imagine you still have to get under the car and pull the oil filter. I havent found one that can hold the 8.5 qts that are in our cars.

These are really handy when servicing stationary engines like generators and pumps. Also work well on boats where space under the engine is limited and a spill is there until you clean it up.

Capacity may be limited as Justin mentioned.

Transmissions and diffs fluid changes may be a good use for one of these.

Strangely enough, I got one from Motive, but have never used it

Sometimes the old fashioned methods work best

That's great feedback, thank you. I always am weary of trusting Amazon reviews given the number of fakes, hearing a "real person" endorse is useful and in this case happens to be the unit I was considering.

Mine arrives tomorrow, will be putting it to use on my wife's car this weekend for the ATX and PS fluid.

No problem.
It's a good unit, We use it everyday and it has functioned perfectly every time. Just remember to lightly tighten the ring of nuts and screws on the top cover before you use it and don't turn it completely upside down when you empty it out or it gets fluid in the lines for the directional valve.
