Focus ST Ford Racing power kit

There was mention of a power kit at Sema last winter coming out mid summer which will keep the warranty in tact. I spoke with a Ford Racing rep at the Woodward Dream Cruise in the Mustang Alley Ford Racing section. He said that all the Ford employees who have driven a ST with this new tune have said it's a significant difference, although he hasn't yet. When I asked when it's coming out, they're still working on it so no time is given. I mentioned the Boss track key being held up by California emissions being the same hold up and he said that's exactly what the hold up is.

Save the dawn for your dishes!!!
they should sell two versions California legal and other states that arent so uppity lol. I am sure once its watered down for California it wont be as good.

that would be great but as we now know the Boss track key was held up because of Cali and we didn't get the originally engineered cool lopey idle version and who knows how much more power.

i remember recently reading an article that mentioned all states may raise their standards to CA's.
It seems manufacturers are spending too much money to have 2 versions of each car... so soon we may all have CARB stickers everywhereee lol

An update on this.
At Sema this year they have this "power kit" named; Ford Racing Performance Calibration and cold air intake.
Fits 2013-2014 Focus ST
More usable power
Up to a 90 lb-ft. torque and 48 HP increase on premium fuel

shown here as coming soon

The question still remains, you have the dealer install it, are you covered for ANY warranty claim or just a claim should those FRPP fail?
I have a CPO ST with a 10yr/100,000 Powertrain warranty. Would hate to void it.

So, we should disown California? lol

As somebody who was born, grew up, worked and lives in Southern California, I would like to thank CARB for saving my life.

If they would not have helped clean the air pollution with their stringent auto emissions requirements, the foul air plus my 3 pack a day smoking habit I used to have would probably have killed me by now.

This article will be in a future mustang 5.0 magazine, I think next month. This guy has a few mods with the Ford Racing performance calibration kit on his Focus ST with dyno run results.

TracKey flashbacks...

If a problem with the vehicle occurs and the tune is responsible then 3 years 36,000 mile warranty from the time of car purchase. Otherwise the original warranty will be in effect.

This is basically the same deal as my Mustang Power Pack. I purchased the power pack when I purchased the car. It has to be in the sale paperwork to receive the 3/36, so make sure the dealer writes it up with the car since they have to send off for the calibration kit and have you come back for the installation.

I'm having it installed in a few weeks and when I called Ford racing for the pro cal tuner he said I or the dealer after install can activate the warranty, after an authorized dealer installs it.
