That really blows that it will be so expensive, even a fully loaded, all the extra crap Focus ST is less than 30k, to add 8k for AWD and a few other bits and bobs is kinda pooty.

I really don't think $38k is a bad starting point.
Having said that, I would hope it will be a more performance bargain than the Subaru STI.

As far as the motor is concerned it has to be a better bargain, with a tune that thing will be close to 400/400 wheel, plus I think the interior of the Focus is much better.

My son talked to a couple of Ford dealers here in Colorado a few weeks ago about ordering an RS. They just kind of laughed at him, they said he could order a 2017 for delivery in about a year and a half.
