Apparently this isn't new information to some people, but I thought I would post it up here. I was at the track last night, and met another S550 owner who used to be a ford tech. He showed me this little jumper plug Ford put in the traction/stability control system. When removed it completely disables both systems. I plan in cutting the wire, and installing a interior switch so I can turn it on or off from inside the car. tcs jumper.jpg tcs plug.jpg

Interesting, thanks for posting. Not sure how all of that works on the S550 but on the GT350 it works very well. I run my car in Track Mode and don't turn off TC or Advance Trac. It rarely interfere's. Unless you're having issues with it interfering I'd be cautious about removing it.

    Very Interesting!
Where is that located? I don't recognise the surroundings in the photo. If this is true, I wonder if disconnecting this would help with the differential overheating issue?
As far as it interfering, High-speed corners like BIR turn 2 at 120 mph throws my car around like like I'm having serious suspension issues.

EDIT TO ADD: Does this disable the ABS? If so, I wouldn't be interested. ABS IMO can save your butt in some cases.

Looks like in front of driver's side strut tower right next to the airbox assembly.

That would make my life easier at trackdays so I don't have to go through the buttons to switch everything off everytime I start the car ... I'll look into it on my car too :)

    Thanks for the tip!

I'm still waiting to hear if this disables the ABS?
