The photobucket debacle killed most of the links but there is still some content particularly towards the newer posts.

Where are videos of your car on track, Fabman?

This is why there isn't any new video:

*Out lap: Practice at the First race of the 2019 SCCA season*

As you probably already know I tossed the 3V and I am currently Coyote swapping it.
Lots less power but also less nose weight; Lets see what happens.
Plan to be ready for the 2021 season.
Stay tuned.

@Fabman: Bummer, I had no idea your engine cut loose on you. I know that must have been so disappointing.
Glad to see you’re in the process of a Coyote engine swap.

What did you find as the cause of failure on your 3v teardown?

I’ll search for details on your new Coyote engine build.

Yeah, it's a little confusing. The new platform has a separate build thread than the existing build threads. I think it's a nice addition, maybe there is a way to meld these together. Meanwhile feel free to post on either one.
Thanks for the compliment. :)

Did you determine the cause of the ‘Oil Starvation’? Broken oil pump gears? Or blown oil cooler line or fitting?
Engine bearings and crank were burnt and black. Then of course there was that big hole in the block.
I sent some pics to a couple different engine builders who both corroborated my assessment.
Everything including the pump was trashed so hard to say if the pump broke and trashed the motor of if the motor broke and sent trash into the pump. Bottom line was that its toast and rather than stress over why I need to move forward with a new platform. I got many years and many track events from drag racing to road courses on a 700/700 motor that was never designed for that much abuse, so I can't complain. I just gotta move on.

As Big Jim McBob used to say, "Blowed up real good!"
You know what they say...anything worth doing is worth over doing. ;)

Whoa, catastrophic failure #8 rod main bearing. Looking thru the hole (pic 2), it appears as thought parts of the #8 rod bearing were still in place, (perhaps spun & welded itself to the crank journal).

What ever the case, thank you so much for sharing pics.

I’m sure the new Re-Powered Frankenstang will bring you a lot joy once sorted & track ready.

All the best with your build.
