My fuel air ratio gauge is all over the place, running steadily on the freeway or idling at a light it goes up and down from about 13.8 to 14.4, probably about once every second. Is this normal?

I certainly hope it is normal. Mine posts the same readings.

A varying O2 sensor voltage is usually what causes the a/f to be changed/ing via the ecm. Some "hunting" is expected due to constant changes in air temp, humidity, altitude, fuel variances, throttle position, rpm, sender and gauge variances
