getting closer to my engine work.... Is this a valid upgrade?

Seems to be taking forever to find the time to replace my timing chain etc plus springs and intake only cams... is it a valid upgrade to replace the plastic chain guides with Billet ones from the likes of MMR? Or just stick to the original ones in the ford timing chain kit?
