Yes, using Girodisc front and rear, direct swap.

Upgraded to Pagids at the same time - great improvement, and less weight.

Replacement rings are available direct from Girodisc.

- How has wear been?
Are you getting any heat checking?
thx for posting..

Don't you get heat checking on all rotors?

yes, right-on.
Just want to know how severe & whether heat checking is a replacement factor with girodisc.
I also suppose it depends on driving style, etc.
I do also realize the pagid is a more intermediate pad than what I use, but any feedback is appreciated.

Heat checking is not an issue on rears -- ran them all the way down to 17.4mm.

Fronts I replaced after 18 days on track, close call on whether they will wear or heat check first. I took them off before they were done to have a spare bedded set in the trailer. They were worn down 1mm and showing some significant heat checking.

Am changing front pads about every 6-8 days.

- did you have issues with break in on the fronts or was that normal?

I have Girodisc and Pagid set up.

Once I Properly bedded the front I have had zero issues.

I had the brake ducts open the first time I bedded the pads. Mistake.

Cleaned up the rotors and taped up the Intakes and it worked like a charm.

Stop great.

I see wear on the rears from spirited highway driving if I leave the traction control on.

Replacement rings are reasonable.

Recommend.

I ordered Girodisk rears.
Will post back with results using Hawk DC-60.
Thanks to all who posted.
Lee.

- On another note, anyone know if there is 3rd party availability of rotors for Baer hats (fronts)?

No problem with break in. Make sure to block ducts.

Update on pad wear. 6-8 days was with Pagid Yellows. I've moved on to the more aggressive Pagid (RST2) and prefer them. However I'm only getting 3 days out of them -- based on 2 sets rotor wear is no greater so far, but looks like they will heat check before they get to minimum thickness. Still expect 18-20 days on the front rotors. Will see if using the more aggressive pad from the start reduces rotor life.....

I put GD's on the rear stock brakes, (Baer 6R on front).
DTC-60 on rear, 70 on front.
So far so good on the rears.
Will post back after a few more track days.
Also spec'ing some custom rotors for the 6R's will post when done with that too..
