#0001 is GB. They built the best colour first.

Good point about the 2012 GB Laguna Seca that sold at Barrett Jackson.

I was there when that car went across the block and it looked fantastic and immediately wanted a new Boss Mustang after seeing that LS all set up with the splitter, brake hose ducting and trans cooler installed.

I believe the bidding closed at around $400K.

Does anyone know the VIN of that vehicle and was it in fact LS0001?

;)

The VIN number was 51999xx (i.e. pre-production). It was not LS001, as LS001 to LS050 were assigned to vins 200001 to 200050. I still don't know what the engine plate says, I suspect it is MP00xx.

Thanks for the follow up and I would agree with you that if this was not a regular production Boss 302 LS that it is an MP car.

I believe this car was bought by Ron Pratt who is a regular a BJ and a big time collector in the Phoenix area.

It certainly would be good to know the engine plate number and the build date?

:)

Great information along with the video.

Looks like the VIN is 5199982 which in my opinion would make this an MP car?

During the video of the auction they mention about a special sequence plate number and would suggest that sequence number would indicate "MPXXX".
