GT-500 Exhaust

For you guys running GT-500 axle back exhaust, what part number are they? How does the sound compare to the stock exhaust?

They are a bit louder and much deeper sounding than stock. There are louder and probably better sounding axelbacks out there but probably not at this price.

I got them on my '12 GT after listening to the sports sedan stock GT mufflers. They're just right - not loud until you stomp on it, but always a nice deep, throaty sound. Great blub-blub-blub at idle.

After having a 2nd look around at what was out there on the market for what I wanted and was willing to pay, I pulled the trigger on these myself. Does anyone know if you you get an extra 3-4 HP improvement with these mufflers? I know Corsa claims an extra few ponies with theirs...

You'll pick up 3-5 hp between the mufflers and side discs open. Add a K&N air filter and you'll have an honest 450 hp.

I have one if you want it, used it for about 20 miles (literally) and then switched to the Airaid CAI. Looks and smells perfectly new in orig box. PM me.

If your car is mostly driven on the track I'd go all out and get the Corsa's like Gary. You'll drop another 20+ pounds in doing so.

I am looking at all kinds of axleback exhaust right now. Beyond Youtube clips, I wish there was a consolidated video/sound clip repository of Axleback swaps on the Boss's for these:

Borla - S type
Borla ATAK's
Corsa
Roush

I am thinking seriously about the Borla's but wish I could hear the Corsa's too.
