The plastic valve covers weight less and convey less heat as well. The aluminum ones actually aren't better for the overall engine performance.

The intake manifold, I can't remember the exact weight of it but it shaves off several pounds even compared to the plastic ones we have on GT350s and such.

I’m not sure exactly why Ford went to aluminum for the Predator but I know the main improvement many folks are looking for when they buy them is oil control, especially on the passenger side.
Said dingus should look at ITBs. I’m working on something
