Capaldi Racing/Development replaced my GT350 flat-plane crank engine with an FP350s crate engine. The FP350s engine has a cross-plane crank. Installed the following:
  • Ford Performance FP350s engine
  • Watson Racing solid engine mounts & sealed top oil separator.
  • JLT cold air intake
  • Transmission stiffening bushing
  • Tuned the engine
  • FP350s Setrab 60 row engine oil cooler

Capaldi Racing/Development did a great job of working out the details of the install and tuning!!!

First weekend on the track with the SVT Cobra club. Ran the Full Throttle Fall Fest South course. Engine runs perfectly!!!!!

Wanted a more track focused engine. The FP350s engine has a forged rotating assembly and can take high revs for an extended period of time

So does the Voodoo. FP350S has two major benefits for road course use, IMHO. Improvement in torque and a proven design.

still lots of development being done on the voodoo to match the reliability of the CPC variant.

Car sounds great!

Very cool stuff. Thanks for sharing

What happened to the Voodoo?
The Voodoo engine was running fine. Pulled it and sold it. Wanted a more track focused engine. The FP350s engine has a forged rotating assembly and can take high revs for an extended period of time. I was able to install solid engine mounts, Watson catch can, solid trans mount, FP350s oil cooler and a JLT cold air intake.

Very cool! Is this a drop in replacement or do you have to tune your ECU's for the new FP motor? How are you dealing with that?

The new FP350s race engine was tuned. The I’m running a 100 octane tune. It came with a new engine harness. No repinning of the engine harness is necessary. If you convert a flat plane crank engine to a cross plane and use the engine harness it has to be repinned to correct the firing order and the fuel injectors. The FP350s race engine or the 5.2 Aluminator engine are plug & play for the most part
