This article cracks me up. The guy acts like a GT350S is a big surprise and thinks it's going to be some street car made for the track only. John Coyle just in case your reading this Ford has been selling track only cars for years and anyone could purchase a BOSS 302S if they had the money.

Thanks for this. Hadn't seen before. If accurate it is compelling to go for an R. I was under the impression the R would add substantially more to the MSRP. Looks like you can get in for something like 10% more than base car. Never use the back seat into BOSS anyway!

I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that pricing doesn't seem logical. The CF wheels alone should add at least that much to the MSRP, let alone the aero and suspension differences that have been discussed. I would expect the differential to be much greater once we see official pricing.

You have to add in the track pack price to the R so it's $10,000 more than a base car not $3,500. The SVT package adds AC and stereo so really $13,000 more than base if you want a streetable car.
