With the requirement of 19" wheels to fit the brakes on the GT350 the tire options are going to be few and expensive. Fast cars need big brakes which means big wheels and tires and if you want to play you're going to have to pay. Below is a list of tires, sizes for fitment on the GT350 and prices for two tires. The recently released NT01 will be a good option and I think they are just as fast or faster than the Cup tires. The Hoosiers and Trefeo R's will be the fastest but I think I'd only drive the R's on the street to and from the track. There are 19" slicks available too but someone else will have to do the research on them. For a street legal track tire the Trefeo R in a staggered 305/325 fitment should be the hot ticket but their cost is not for the faint of heart! The fastest should be the R7's in a 315/325 staggered fitment. It will probably be four NT01's in a square setup for me. ::)

    Any other options out there?

    Nitto NT01 305/30/19 $732
    Michelin Cup-2 295/30/19 $1,050
    Michelin Cup-2 305/30/19 $1,106
    Michelin Cup-2 315/30/19 $1,150 est
    Michelin Cup-2 325/30/19 $1,188
    Pirelli Trefeo R 295/30/19 $1,040
    Pirelli Trefeo R 305/30/19 $1,120
    Pirelli Trefeo R 325/30/19 $1,186
    Hoosier R7 295/30/19 $778
    Hoosier R7 315/30/19 $918
    Hoosier R7 325/30/19 $918

Anyone have experience with the Trefeo R? I have two friends using them. One with 295/30/18 square on a Boss and the other using 295/30/18 and 325/30/19 on a C6 Z06. It's still undetermined how long they will last but both like them and the guy with the Z06 says they are a lot faster than the Cup 2's he's run.

Pirelli P Zero slick takeoffs in 295/660-19 and 305-680-19 for about $150 each would be my play. Ran a square set of 295/680-19's on mi car for 5 days and they still have laptime and life in them. Paid $600 shipped for the set. Just sayin if I was to buy a GT 350 and all.

Do you have a link to the tires? Are the 19" Pirelli slicks available in 315's or 325's?

Rick they make 315/680 and 325/660, 325/705 but I don't know what is available in those sizes. Jbracingtires has some in 295 and 305 right now, if you cal them they sometimes have more that what they have posted. The Pirelli slicks are probably the quickest tire available for cars of our weight. Michelin probably has some good tires from European GT racing but don't know where to source those take offs.

Used Pirelli race tires for a bit over a hundred a piece and these guys also run GT Track Days , and there is a weekend in August at the Corvette Museum Track they are sponsoring for those that want to go pick on some Vettes ,ha.

Here is a full list of the current Hoosier 19" A7/R7 sizes:

Not sure what the rear tire size is on the existing car but the 295F/315R split should work nicely if staggered...or either one square.

The Hoosier R7 is a really, really good tire.
It's me personal opinion but I think Pirelli changes construction methods like people change their hats, if you buy a set, I'd pay whatever it took to get 4 out of the same batch. I'm 99% sure they did this to us in GTS, and our car's handling fell off the cliff, until we figured it out, they denied it of course, but I'm not the only one who felt this way.

So here's some good news. The Nitto NT01 is going to be available in a 325/30/19 tire starting on October 1st! Can you say 305 front, 325 rear? 8)

325 seems like an odd size, no? I wonder if it's supposed to be 315

I think that size fits Porsche's and Vette's.

The HRE FF15's look promising in 19x11 square. Not sure if 18's are going to clear the brakes or if the large lug nuts will be an issue with Forgestar wheels.

Not wild about those...CCW Corsairs, on the other hand (but not in the finish shown below...maybe gunmetal or charcoal).

The R PSC2 tires are now showing on Tire Rack. One of the things a Ford engineer told me was that the shorter rear tire on the R was one of the reasons for the enhanced performance. Obviously lower gearing. As we know from running 18's on the Boss/5.0 S197 Mustangs lower gearing was a positive on many road courses.

Now if 18's would fit that would lower the costs of tires significantly. That would eliminate using the tires below but think of the cost savings. A 305/35/18 and 315/30/18 Nitto NT01 is almost $1K a set cheaper. Not to mention lighter. Now if we can find some 18" wheels that will clear those monster front brakes.

Looking for recommendations for dual purpose tires. My GT350 will primarily be used for HPDE and infrequent weekend driving. Need tires that are somewhat capable on wet as I live in the NW. Im open to running 18s as well, if anyone can recommend a 18 wheel that would clear the brakes. Thanks in advance!

My current track car is a '11 GT, I run Forgestar 18x10s with 275 square set-up. Ran Rivals and RE11s. I usually run between intermediate and advance.

Welcome to BMO. I think you should run the stock tires or the R tires. If not go with NT01's in a 305 square setup. If you haven't seen it already check out the thread below where we have a vendor making R spec wheels for track use.
