GT350 Trans Cooler?

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

My friend has a GT350 and having issues with the transmission overheating.

Can he just buy the GT350 Track Pack Transmission Cooler (M-7095-M8S)? Looks like he needs a pump as well.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason

That's correct - he'll need a pump. I think Ford performance has a package that includes a cooler, plumbing and a new pump, but the unfortunate reality is that the "new pump" is expensive because it's part of a whole new transmission. The pump is built into the front of the gearbox and runs off the input shaft. Some folks have installed electric pumps.

Any recommendations on electric pumps that people have used for this application. There are plenty of options out there but he would like to use something people have used on this car before.
