SVTP has release the gear ratio of the new transmission going into the GT350
http://www.svtperformance.com/?p=14172#more-14172

Have been playing with the number and found out that coupled with a 3.31 rear end it has the same ration as a 2.66MagnumXL with the 0.80 overdrive cluster coupled with 4.10

Coincidence?

What I find interesting about this is the base GT350 will not have fittings for a trans cooler. I wonder if the diff with also omit the fittings?

Here are the ratios: First: 3.253:1, Second: 2:233:1, Third: 1.611:1, Fourth: 1.24:3, Fifth 1:1, Sixth: .629:1, and Reverse: 2.955:1.

I hope the diff does not omit. With independent suspension you have far less fluid volume so a cooler is even more important. Our solid axle S197's have a huge volume of fluid around the axles to help keep everything cool.

And they still melt rear ends! I've heard one track outing and the bias is just about gone on the S197 rear end. I think the GT350 is a torsen. I see Ford stuck with the crazy 1:1 fifth gear like the MT82.
