That's a good question! I was under the impression the emblems were supposed to be red to denote the R model. So this is odd...

Probably just them being prototypes though.

Ford was literally slapping those cars together for these events so don't put too much into how they are setup. Ford stated the R would have the red badges and red stitching on the seats so run with that.
