Anyone have experience with both? I just purchased a Simpson Hybrid S to use in my car with a stock three point seat belt. While I don't expect it to provide the same level or protection as a Hans with proper racing harnesses I do hope it's better than nothing. Using both with racing harnesses it appears the Hybrid is now considered safer due to handling side impacts better. Here's a link and a screen shot from a discussion on Rennlist.

FWIW I was going to buy the Simpson Hybrid Sport but was told it's not certified for use with factory three point harnesses.

Planning on a hybrid-S + new helmet for XMas

Just for clarification, the hybrid-S is for 3pt seat belts. All other hybrid models are for 4-6pt harness.

The S is the only one approved for a three point factory seat belt and that's why I purchased the S. All Hybrids including the S are approved for use with racing harnesses.

Been considering one of these. I look forward to hearing your review.

A couple of screen shots from Simpson’s website.

Crap...I bought the wrong one. Just using it for Lemon's right now but was thinking I could use it in the Boss also. I don't thing it would be less safe to use it anyways, right? Not sure that I will ever install my roll bar and a 4 point since the kids enjoy rides in the Boss.

I'm pretty sure the Schroth Quick-Fit Pro can be used with any H&N restraint and after the two belt anchors are installed, installing and removing it is about a 2-minute process. Make sure it's the Pro version.

I finally received my Hybrid S but won’t get a chance to test it for a couple of months. It’s a bit of a Rube Goldberg device but if it works as advertised it will be worth it. It does fit well and is comfortable. They are very large. I wear an XL shirt but bought a medium.

I don't have experience with both, but I do like my Simpson Sport.
It came with their Quick Release, and D-rings for the helmet. It rattled way too much, so I got the Quick Clips for my helmet, and had Simpson make a custom length loop for the Sport.
I put the Sport on, get in car, strap in, then put on my helmet and connect it to the Sport. Much easier connecting harness before putting the helmet on.
I hope the S works well for you.

I've watched my friend put on his hybrid S and it indeed is Rube Goldberg-ish

What's the benefit over a traditional yolk on a Hans or NecksGen RevLite?

The Hybrid S can be used with a stock 3 point seat belt and provide additional protection.
