That's moving pretty fast. I'll never hit 150 at any of the tracks local to me.

I doubt there are too many tracks where you will hit that, PBIR I have hit 142 on a 6/10 miles straight. While I am jealous of you having gone down the cork-screw this was an experience of a lifetime for sure.

The car pitted next to me was from Kansas! If anyone can make it here, try it. The moment you hit the banks you will forget all about the long drive, I guarantee it or I will pay for your trip ;D

::) Geeky me is taking full credit for the Scott's "Yellow Flash" picture. For those of you who haven't met Scott yet, he usually gets off the track from a session focused on what he has to do with the car for the next session accompanied with a very logical review of what happened out there (especially if I was not riding shot-gun). When he first came off the track at Daytona he was frantic, exclaming how scary it is out there, and that he just went out there for the first time solo and was bouncing all over the pits not able to stand still ;D I was really trying to keep up with what he was saying. I really didn't understand I just ;) alot.....
until 3 session when one of the Instructor's was able to sneak me out for my birthday. It was terrifying   just as he was explaining with a huge smile on his face. As we shifted gears out on the bank, I was repeating silently to myself, "oh please don't break this car loose on the bank, the wall is on the passenger side".

Scott, I had a great birthday weekend thanks to YOU, so keep enjoying yourself out there!

Scott were you ever able to notice any difference when you added the larger front splitter?

Hell yea, in fact after the second session I lowered the splitter just a tiny bit because the car felt like it floated off the banking onto the flat straight. I could feel the car being more stable during the next run and in the tri-oval.

My plan is to shave the sides down about a 1/2 or more when I get it back. I think they are too long and it may be flexing at high speeds.

I finally went through the tapes and had one low lap time of 2:14, it was last lap on the last session before I ran out of gas. Gopro times so give or take.

While it is not record setting I feel pretty good about the time for a first timer on the track. Some people at the track were impressed with the Boss after we looked at the lap timer during lunch and came up with several sub 2:20's.

Last session I ran 2:18's and 19's with this one 2:14, what is funny is that second best lap was two 2:17's in session two not session three or four.
