Hi everyone,

There has been all kinds of speculation here about a new Gt350/500 or Bullitt/Mach1. Some of us are hoping for a big block or a twin turbo option in responce to the hellcat & ZL1 in the horsepower wars.....

Then you read that ford is increasing the horsepower and torque on the mustang GT and how its 0-60 time will be under 4 seconds, and you start to get the warm and fuzzys...
https://www.usatoday.com/story/mone...acceleration-blow-doors-off-rivals/505381001/

Then you read how mustang sales are down this year in the US, but up overseas.

So you figure Ford MUST have something up their sleeve for its US customers.

Then today I see this article:

Ford is worried about noise? Really? Noise?

Now don't get me wrong, I remember coasting into the driveway with the engine off when I was 18 (many, many, many, years ago), hoping not to wake up the parents and get grounded.

I'm sure I'm not the only one a little disappointed, but still hopeful.

I think the Bullitt is going to happen. No way is Ford going to let the 50th anniversary of the Bullitt Movie slip by without an updated version.

It's silly to be disappointed about them improving the software on the car. The hardware is there, I want the software to have as many toggles and whistles as possible. Otherwise, they're just leaving functionality on the table that, for all intents and purposes, is free once the code is written. Ford is pretty encouraging to engineers with ideas that don't add to the BoM of the vehicle and give them another thing to issue a press release about. The GT350 shift light started this way, and I'm pretty sure the TracKey did as well. I hope Ford keeps encouraging hacking that makes it into the products.
