Is This The Earliest Built Boss/VIN Without Having The Laguna Seca Package?

In recent months I came across a 2012 White Boss 302 that was for sale with the VIN ending in 5199913.

Is this Performance White Boss 302 the first new generation Boss 302 produced without the Laguna Seca package and is it the lowest VIN of any 2012 or 2013 Boss 302 car's with or without the Laguna Seca package that has met Ford safety and emission standards and being eligible for sale to the general public?

Chris you and your team of moderators all know much more about these early Boss 302 cars than pretty much anyone of us and would like your comments regarding the above?

BTW, I am sure you already figured out that this car is "PP0002" and was built on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 and it is interesting to note that the VIN on this car is 2 numbers earlier than "PP0001".

Thanks in advance.

The build order has no relation to VIN number for Mustangs. I am more inclined to believe that the Boss/LS number is a more accurate representation most of the time, but the build order can be changed at the last minute, after the vendor has made the intake tag.

That said, it is quite likely for the PP builds that so few were built the build order would match the Boss/LS number.

Chris, thanks for your input and feedback with respect to the VIN number versus the build sequence order.

Since you have the best records of anyone that I am aware of for VIN's and production numbers have you come across any PP VIN's that are lower than 5199913?

Wow, sorry I missed this completely as I was on vacation at the time. The first PPs are 199897, 899, 900, 901, 902, 907 and 908. Of those, only 899 has been released but I don't have a record of the owner having shown up on the forums. 899 may be PP0004 and is a base Boss.

Thanks for the feedback.

If "PP0001" has a VIN ending in 5199915 and "PP0002" ends in 5199913 what "Pilot Production" car numbers are these other Boss cars with earlier VIN's?

Based on conversations with the Flat Rock factory the first and only Boss built on Monday, October 25th, 2010 was PP0001.

As you are probably aware PP0001 is a Black Laguna Seca and PP0002 is a Performance White Boss 302 with the White Boss being the fastest Boss I have driven or at least it seems that way and maybe just the louder exhaust on this car seems to make it the quickest Boss I have driven.

Hopefully PP0004 will show up somewhere along the way as PP0004 is the only car missing of the first 5 PP cars.

As you mentioned the VIN for PP0004 may be 899 and if that is the case that VIN would be somewhat earlier than PP0001, 0002, 0003 and 0005. The VIN's on those cars are 915, 913, 918 and 916 respectively according to my understanding?
