Step five install new sized restrictor plate (3/4" plate shown in picture)

Step six re install side pipe by first slipping over studs on flange then threading the rear bolt and loosely tighten bolt and nuts. check clearance you should be able to get you hand around the pipe from front to back adjust as necessary. Once clearance is good tighten all nuts and bolt down and recheck clearance.

With something like the restictor plates, I can't see myself taking it to a shop. It honestly only takes 10 minutes at most, that includes both sides.

I definitely get that, which is why I planned to do it myself. The reality was I spent more time thinking about expensive ramps, jack stands and still minimal clearance to slide under the car. Like you said, it takes about 10 minutes. Getting to stand and look under it was worth a few bucks to me. ;) . Likewise, standing there for 10 minutes (15 total, in & out) and being done, instead of thinking about it any longer, was worth the rest of the $20. Would have been a different story if I already owned the Race Ramps Portable Pitstop. Love that, but pricey! ;D

Haven't been happy with the reviews of the Rhino Ramps so I was really looking at the entry-level Race Ramps.

The good thing is that I'm not having to think about it anymore, for now. I'm just enjoying the new discs. ;D

The shop is just another option. It's not like we're talking $50-$100. $20, I can live with. ;)

Rhino ramps are great. I've been using the traditional narrow ones for years but just bought some of these newer, wider ones (the rear tires on my LS don't hang over the edges which makes me more comfortable). I got mine at Advance Auto because they were running a 15% off sale a few weeks ago.

While looking at prices, I'd read reviews about them cracking at the base, having little chunks pop out, etc as they age. Just enough to give pause, as they weren't being overloaded (per the reviewers). I never saw that complaint with the Race Ramps reviews.

Point is, $20 was the cheapest option (lacking ramps or even jack-stands and a floor jack), real convenient and a fast lunch-break mod. If you find yourself thinking about the process much, for lack of proper tools, etc., it's a quick alternative for immediate enjoyment. ;)

Not debating if it's an easy DIY mod or not. :) Just putting off the ramp purchase and still getting them on ASAP. :D

Justin, do those rhino ramps clear the splitter, or did you have to use a 2x4?
I have the older version of that ramp and they dont clear the front bumper. Now i dont know if the '13 bumper sits lower than the '12s.

but when i switched out my side pipe disks, i used the ramps on the back wheels, since rear bumper has more clearance.
