Laguna Seca Transmission Cooling Duct beneficial for Magnum XL transmissions?

Is the Laguna Seca Transmission Cooling Duct beneficial for Boss 302's with a Magnum XL transmission upgrade? I know that Shelby sells their own cooling scoop for GT500s with the Magnum XL tranny but just because someone makes a part doesn't mean it has any real benefits.

Don, I don't think it would be. The magnum doesn't have the heat sink cast into the bottom of the transmission and is a lot narrower than the MT-82. That means the magnum has a lot less surface area for the duct to blow cool air across.

If the magnum needs additional cooling, I would build a trans oil cooler. Your welcome to take a look at the one I put together at Superfest.
