Hi. I was wondering if anyone has seen a 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca with leather Recaro buckets. I have someone that is trying to trade me one for my Rover SVR. He claims it came from factory with leather, but all that I have seen for sale are cloth recaros. Top of window sticker says char leather buckets. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Where is this car from? AFAIK leather was not an option from the factory and I've never seen one. Leather could have been installed by a dealer for a customer.

This is hard to read correctly but it does look like it states leather. Could have been added before it was laminated and the type doesn't appear to match the rest of the window sticker.

those look re-covered in leather.

My leather Recaro seats do not looks that wrinkled up near the head rest, mine actually have zero wrinkles.... and those just look cheesy/non factory all around.

Those were re-done. They have the same font as a set one of my friends had done for his SBY Boss. Ford licensed work, but certainly not factory. I mean 100% certain.

Could be. I could see a bit of shadiness there. I suspect photoshop or even some work on the hard copy could have been done. Not really any different than the ADM stickers that dealers stick on the right of the real one.

I know Toyota dealers near me have a 3rd party come out and cover the seats of the 4-runners in leather at my local dealership, they look horrible, and are obviously re-covered seats in leather. Toyota does offer factory leather seats and I was able to compare the differences on the same lot once.

The window sticker says leather on it on those vehicles too.

Even without 'knowing' that these were done 3rd party. One could tell that they are, because the design of certain elements is outright well below Ford standards.

One example - Looking at the logo embroidered over the door panels, any designer working for Ford would have made sure the 'Laguna Seca' lettering was perpendicular to the vertical stitching on the OEM panel. No way work like this would come out of Ford directly.

I would have had them redo the leather covering. It's really a crappy job or perhaps it was something the owner did to the seats to make them look so bad.

I'd just use it to negotiate a better price. Make lemonade outta crap. Or is that not the saying? :D
