Met Don twice while at the Panoz Racing School years back. He gave our group a tour of his new Esperante LeMans Prototype prior to it's unveiling as our group had been to the schools numerous times. A bunch of us ran into him at the Bar across from Chateau Elan ( near Road Atlanta ) and when he found out what we were doing in the area, he bought us all a round of drinks. He actually was going to meet with us another time, but we got to meet his son and tour the Panoz Plant .

He was a great motorsports Ambassador and folks enjoyed how he treated everyone - he liked just being one of the guys.
