Is the rear spoiler that comes on an LS from ford plastic? I am asking because I bought one from CJs that has a Ford emblem and a Ford part number on it but its abs plastic. I thought they were fiberglass.

They are ABS plastic. They come in several pieces and need assembly after painting the top wing.

Wow, I guess it will be solid once its mounted on the car. I wanted to make sure it was correct before I paint it.

Does the LS spoiler use the existing holes or do you have to drill additional holes?

It uses 8 holes, the existing ones and then you have to drill 4 additional holes. The GT500 spoiler is an alternative if you do not want to drill the additional holes. I had a really bad trunk leak last week when we had torrential rain, and I haven't figured it out yet. The 3M tape should be sealing up the holes. The only thing I can figure so far is that there was so much water at once that it spilled through the trunk weatherstrip. The outer pedestals look like they channel water right into the trunk seam.

I installed the LS spoiler this weekend and I think it looks good. Sticking with the old boss look I painted it a semi flat black on my grabber blue boss. Now I need to proceed to my next project witch is lowering springs so I can see better over the spoiler. It takes up a little more of the rear view than Id like.
The spoiler I bought comes with a really nice plastic template for drilling the extra holes.

Can you post a few pictures? I also have a GB Boss and I am thinking of doing the same thing. when you drilled the extra holes did they line up with the bracing?

Thanks Paul
