I'd save your money and get more seat time and go from there. As long as you have good brake fluid and know that the diff will get hot you can still get much needed seat time.

I had no problem throwing on the titanium shims on the back of my new pads and new DBA T-3 5000 series rotors. Granted, they did not just side right in but with a bit of finesse, they fit fine.

1 small issue I have with the DBA rotors is their thickness. When pads are new, titanium shims will not fit. I have to first wear down the pads then insert the shims. A bad thing if replacing pads at the track.

Hard BrakeS used to offer .5mm thick shims but even though their web site is still there, I think they're out of business and you can't select anything on the site.

I did find this shim that is .8125mm thick and might help in your situation.
