For those of you who have driven with NASA NORCAL do they require a tech inspection prior to driving HPDE? NASAAZ reuires one at every event. Just curious because the email they sent out says HPDE cars "should" do it and they charge for it where NASAAZ does not charge $ for it.

Just drove with them a few weeks ago. They simply take the self-tech form when you stage for the first session. I remember they had a rule for older cars and non stock restraint systems that they had to look at those.

Thanks for the info...So when you say they took a look, do they make you do a $40 tech inspection for non stock restraints? interesting how the regions do things different under the umbrella of a national organization

This was a great weekend and of course nice to meet Andy and Neema at the track!
Took home 3rd in class on Saturday (out of 7) and 4th in class on Sunday (out of 9).

I will post some pictures shortly and videos later.

Nice photos and congratulations. Sorry I couldn't make it. How did you like the track?

It was great, definitely different from the mostly flat tracks we have in AZ. I will withhold comparison to Sears Point until I drive my BOSS there.

LOL that RX7 sounds like a two stroke! I like Sonoma a bit better. Slightly faster and more challenging. Plus it's a lot closer to my home. My favorite turn at LS is 6 not the corkscrew. TH is also quite fun with plenty of elevation change although not on the same scale as the other two. Maybe next year. ;)

It's a possibility :)

If I make it out for Sonoma or TH next year, it will likely be with NASA so I can get in on the race groups.
My racer buddies that came with for this trip are already talking about making Laguna an annual event for us!
