This thread is not correct...
Our T-2 cars were never disqualified.... At no time were our Mustang GTs ever out of spec.
What happened was that a competitor form the Spec Mustang contingent filed a protest claiming that our rear suspension was not correct.
It was a rather ill planned attempt to get our qualifying times thrown out and it did not work.
We always strive to be 100% rules compliant 100% of the time. Its a basic team dictate laid down by me... No exceptions.
A review of the 2012 rules approvals quickly showed that our cars were 100% compliant and the issue went away. Turns out that SCCA did not update the GCR so it was an error and ommission on their part and will be remedied in the next version of the GCR.
It does go to show that good sportsmanship is not universal... If the competitor would have bothered to come over and ask us we would have shown him where it was documented... Instead of skulking around and planning a surprise. And of course he or his father never came to apologize for their error...
Thanks to everyone who offered to help us if we needed any stock parts... always nice to have friends in the mustang community. If we can ever be of any help don't hesitate to ask us..
