New Boss!

Hey everyone, I figured I should introduce my new Mustang to the various forums. I had a Race Red 2012 Boss 302, and I saw a dealer selling a Race Red 2013 Boss 302 with only 6000 miles, they gave me a decent deal and so I traded up. So here is the new pony, my 2013 Boss 302:

For anyone wondering, my impressions are nothing but good. I loved the 2012, but I love the 2013 even more. I like those badass headlights and taillights, the trackapps are cool, NO skipshift is a beautiful thing, sync is surprisingly cool, removable foglight inserts are helpful, and the reflective stripes are flippin sweet. Plus my MT82 feels much smoother for some reason. Anyway I am loving the 2013 Boss.

PS I already ordered T-Springs, a panhard rod, lower control arms, side louvers, rear taillight tint inserts, and a sound plug kit so I can install my PJ intake. So I'm getting right to work.

Haha I love the Race Red too much to get anything else. Although it pretty much felt like a sideways trade. I loved some stuff on the 12, but I just love the 13 stuff better. The 12 felt really bare bones, but the 13 feels more like a modern 40 thousand dollar car.

Best color for sure! LOL. Looks real clean and well maintained. I drove a 12 last month and understand what you mean by more bare bones. NICE!!!!

Congratulations on your new Boss! Your car looks great and nice photos too. The Race Red really pops in the sunshine. I bought mine new in May 2012 and am closing in on 10K miles. Love everything about the car, with the possible exception of trying to keep those wheels clean. They just seem to hold onto brake and road dust. But what a blast to drive. Did you get a chance to attend The Boss Track Attack?

Congratulations!! If your happy that is all that matters. Hope you enjoy her!! I may be in the minority - but I actually like the bare bones of the 12 - happy to have the a/c but that is about all - but I am coming from a 70 Chevelle SS so I am sure that may have something to do with it. Congrats on your new Boss You are lucky to have owned both model years. Biased to the '12 Boss myself, but do wish they had put reflective stripes on the '12 as well.

Alright guys, update time! I put all of this on S197forum, but I love this forum so I'll post here too. I have my FRPP Tsprings, BMR LCA's, and BMR panhard rod, but I haven't had time to install them yet. But in the meantime, I have painted my hood vents matte black, smoked my front markers, and installed my quarter window louvers. So here's a little preview until I get it lowered:

And as requested, a few engine bay shots! A little dirty, but I got my hand signed #7 Parnelli Jones Airaid CF intake installed...as well as my quad exhaust baffles removed. This Boss is a beast and I love it.

And I'll keep updating as I go!

Also, for those asking, no I didnt get to attend Track Attack, unfortunately I have been the second owner of two Bosses. As for my plans, I'm getting this beast on the track as soon as I can, it will be a show car, but it will be a race car too. Enjoy

Watch the brake fluid cap, it looks like it has a leak, you need to take a little out.
