New parts installed

My car has been down for the last 6 weeks but I finally finished up the installation of my MM 4 pt roll bar. I ended up having it powder coated "safety orange" and I think it turned out great! I'm really happy with the finished product but the installation was a pain in the ass. I also added a rear seat delete kit, corbeau fx1 pro seats, 6 pt harness, and a blowfish fire extinguisher mount. Bumpers are off so that I can install my 302s tow hooks. I hope to get those done in the next couple days.

It was just a long process. Granted, I did take my time with the install and just worked on it here and there. The bar has to be put in the car and then taken back out so many times it's not even funny. Getting the interior pieces to line up right and go in at the same time as the bar was a chore too. Another issue I ran into was that when I put the bar in for the final time after welding and powder coating, the holes for the rear support bar were off a little bit. I imagine the bars moved a tad during welding. I dremeled out a few of the holes and everything was good. I probably could have avoided this last part by having the rear bars at least tacked to the main hoop while still in the car. Oh well...

Overall I'm very impressed with this structural integrity of this bar for being a bolt-in option. The main hoop mounting brackets are substantial and the rear support bar backing plates are wide and made of heavy steel.

That looks terrific. Maybe a couple of exterior parts in a matching orange would really tie it all in. Like the mirror covers and rear spoiler.

Thanks Rick. I'm still trying to decide if I should add some more orange. I thought about doing the tow hooks orange but ended up with matte black. My track numbers are orange, at least...
