Maybe you counted the full perimeter wall? All six sides, full width? You'd only need half that since each wall is 'shared' by its neighboring cell. Fuzz and parallax easily accounts for the rest! 8)

Hi grant. I only counted half. I'll try to get a picture up. I think I saved one that will illustrate what I'm describing.

Here is the cell picture I started with. I photoshopped out the extra walls (leavimg a single hexagon); then photoshopped out the obvious little "hairs". Even so, the remaining walls appear thicker than they actually are (based on your measurements).

Thanks for posting that pic. It's interesting how the errors propagate. Estimating by pixel width/count I get between 8.9% to 11.8% and back calculating would imply a 0.0055" thickness of the single wall material. It's definitely not that thick. I'm also a bit surprised by the amount of fuzz in that pic. I think the piece I got is quite a bit cleaner than that.

My sample is pretty "hairy". I did not notice it until looking at the photo. Now, however, the fuzz is quite evident to the naked eye.
