Been thinking of getting one for the car, but was thinking is it really needed? The motor is stock, no blower or anything that the little bit of oil would really bother. Thoughts?

If you have the money I would at least do it for the passenger side. I have seen pictures of stock cars collect a few ounces every so often. Rather not have that gumming up the intake and what not.

Needed? Yes, if you don't like oil in your intake, or if you only have 91 pisstane available in your area... Really needed if you run TracKey (or the GTs with the ProCal tune) and like to engine brake at all.

The passenger side is the only one with exposure to high vacuum from the intake.

I can see over a teaspoon in under 100 miles on the street. My GT would ping a bit at WOT on 91 before I put in the oil separator in. No problems heard on the Boss without it, but with my experience with my GT, I wasn't going to risk it.

FWIW, the GTs are also at higher risk for pooling oil in the intake since the runners draw from the top of the plenum...the GT plenum doesn't drain itself.

Boom

I have JLT's on both sides. I check the passenger side every 2500 miles or so and noticed it's about 1/4 full. The drivers side has stayed dry.
