Oil Temperature

Just wondering what kind of temperatures others are seeing? Where are others measuring temperature?

My last track day was low-mid 80* and humid. I am measuring oil temp at the pan. Every session mine peaked at 260* . I have the O.E. Boss oil cooler and Setrab 925 air/oil cooler. I also have the Boss 302S grille. O.E. hood.


I'm not worried about it, everything I have read says 230-260 is o.k. Above 275* is too much.

If anyone is logging oil temperature WITHOUT an auxiliary cooler I would also like to know what kind of oil temperatures you are seeing.

I have the same set up and same temps. I pull temps at the sandwich plate.

If we are seeing 260* with an external cooler, what are oil temps without?

I'm seeing 280* before the cooler (Setrab948) before with a smaller cooler (Setrab 680) I was seeing 310* before the cooler. Redline is 8100rpm in my car

Any goods synthetic oil is fine at 300*.
