It's a driver technique to prepare the breaks pressure so you are sure they are ready to break hard. Not sure how needed it is in modern day cars though but if you are used to do it no way you don't do it as is a habit.

With having manual brakes on the car, it's just a nice thing to feel before going into a corner, knowing that you have brakes. Especially having had a situation at T17 at Sebring in a BMW and not having a brake pedal, it does the heart/brain a bit of good to have a firm pedal. With the brake setup on this car, as well as mine, I don't have pad knockback.

Manual brakes? Did you just remove the vacuum supply to the booster? Or did change out the setup?

So can we buy the kit (trans/etc etc etc) from you guys and get help setting it up?
We can certainly get all of the parts for you, but we had to reach out to a professional (Motec in our cases) to set everything up once it was all installed. That will involve chassis dyno work and a track day to fine tune the blips and cuts. A light weight clutch is very important as well. We use a Tilton carbon that has a very low MOI.
There are a high up front costs, but once set up it has been extremely reliable and amazing.
