Penske loves Indy and he has been a staunch supporter of open wheel racing in the US. He knows the business better than anyone so I have no doubt he will do what he can to make sure his business thrives. He is respected and that should at least get sponsors and organizers to take IndyCar seriously. His son is also in the business so hopefully this will be a long and successful run.

That's good to know he has a succession plan in place.

In April 1996 I met and had a nice talk with Mario Andretti about the split from CART Mr. George initiated. Let's just say he was not happy and was worried the sport he loved had been ruined. Maybe Mr Penske can bring IndyCar back to its former glory.

I hope that will bring IMSA to Indy. Would love to see a 12h or 24h race.

And hopefully they'll open the track to more HPDE or even NASA racing.
