Please Read: Software Upgrade Coming This Weekend

Now that the server upgrade is complete the next step is to upgrade the software. We are switching to XenForo and for those of you that are SVT members it's the same software they recently upgraded to. One of the main drivers of the changes has been to enhance the mobile experience for TMO members. You'll see the new software scales nicely on mobile devices and we're also going to start hosting photo storage locally.

The switch should take place this weekend and we'll let everyone know the timing as soon as we have more clarity on it. Hopefully Saturday or Sunday morning. We do expect a few bumps with the conversion, there usually are, but the test site we've been looking at is pretty clean. The functionality of the software is similar but has a fresher look to it and your control panel will be easier to navigate.

Just a reminder that the software update is scheduled for 8:00 AM PST tomorrow. We could be offline for 1-3 hours. I'll post when we are back online.

Also the software will look a lot different but the functionality will be very similar. I'll start a separate thread for upgrade issues.

The mobile view appears to be quite good. It's very responsive. Are there any other value adds that Tapatalk gives you at this point?

Not really. We'll remain on Tapatalk as it's a aggregator for forums and another source of distribution. But the vendor and google ads don't show up on Tapatalk. Shoot they're not showing up at all right now.

For that Motorola Brick in TS's post. I had one of those in Cambodia in 94. Battery lasted almost as long as it took to call for a new battery.
