Big thanks to Hermann at Horsepower By Hermann in Beltsville, Maryland for doing a fantastic porting job on this new Boss manifold for us. Looks like a whole bunch of free HP and TQ just got freed up. I didn't take pics of the before but the after results are dramatic. According to Hermann and all of his dyno work this is no small gain. Give Hermann a call for all your performance and tuning needs.

Well, the Boss IM certainly looks good, but I see it was not polished with 600 thru 2000 grit sand paper. He did a very nice job with the heat reflector application on the runners. Also, did you have any conversation with him in regard to opening up the material between the runners?

Will this Boss IM be installed on a GT 5.0L engine and if so what are your plans for the TB, CAI system, Exhaust upgrades and who will you select for the Tune?

Very interested to know your final results and sharing of your pre and post Dyno run numbers.

Good luck with your project,
302 Hi Pro

That looks pretty good compared to what pops up with a google search. Looks like some guys use a freaking rasp! It's good to see they didn't remove the throttle body side vanes. Those are not vestigial from the molding process like the horrible transition on the runners. They are there to tweak the airflow.

Greg, did you end up getting any before/after dyno figures on this ported manifold?

Wondering if it might be worth my time to do this on my race car.

Thanks,

--Drew

We thought about it but decided it would not be a good use of our time and money. We know there will be a gain so we did it. Engine is still going back together at RYE and then to Roush Performance for tuning. Im sure someone on here has a graph for the gains.
