Tucson 302

2013 Black LS #439
Wondering if anyone has experienced this:

When using Trackey if the vehicle is completely stopped and the clutch pressed down I can't get the engine to rev past a certain RPM no matter how much gas I try to give it. However, when I put it in gear and release the clutch it will allow me to rev/drive to any RPM. It does not happen with the regular key. Any advice woud be greatly appreciated.

Yes. It's totally normal and is part of the launch control feature. Please read the TK manual. It will explain it. Good luck man! :)

Cool thanks I was thinking that but I hadn't set it to a limit yet so I wrongfully assumed that wasn't the issue.

Yes its launch control. It has a set default even if you have never set it prior.. You can rev the engine to a higher RPM if you are in neutral, but if your in gear the launch control limit kicks in

The Trackey instructions will explain how to access the launch control menu and set the RPM. You can set it anywhere you want in 100 RPM increments. Good luck!

Has anyone actually used the launch control yet? and how well does it work? Is the 2600rpm they recomend acurate?

Launch Control works great and is the envy of all vet or camaro owners! You'll probably have to play around with it to see what works best for you...but that's half the fun ;D There are a lot of factors that will come in to play, like temperature, traction control engaged / disengaged / Sport Mode / Etc, Tires. I haven't used it much since last summer at a drag race day at a local airport but I seem to recall that 3200-3300rpm with traction control off on the stock PZero's worked best for me. I was getting into 2nd quickly and shortshifting to 3rd - it hookedup pretty well after some wheel hop in 2nd.

I wasnt to impressed with launch control. it didnt go high enough for me to launch on slicks. I now run AED tunes

That's weird - I will have to try it tomorrow since it's been a while since I've use it but I'm pretty sure it allowed me to set it as high as I wanted to. I seem to remember tyring 6000rpm.
