Little late in here. I am looking into this now also. The Watson unit has been unavailable for quite a while.

When In doubt check out NRG I believe they make some for our cars. I had one of there’s on my civic back in the day and it was a pretty nice unit. I’m actually thinking about checking them out for the s197 ohh and I believe they retain the clock spring but don’t quote me on that.

I run the NRG on my personal car, seems to have been working well for the past few years. Zero complaints. Sparco also offers one, but no experience with it.

I have nrg with sparco wheel on my 13.

Yes still there

Just no steering wheel controls but turn signal stalk still functions although I don’t use them. Car is gutted

I don’t believe the quick release will work without it

That’s where NRG’s website leaves a lot to be desired - impossible to tell what you need when you can’t look things up by application.

I just this past weekend installed the SFI NRG QR. No slop, works/look very good. I used a Sparco hub adapter ( SPARCO# 01502067CA ) with mine.

My car already has a hub and aftermarket wheel, so I'm good there, thanks!

Any special notes or photos for retaining the clock spring? Sadly, Watson Racing stopped carrying their unit due to supplier issues, so the options are even more limited now. Interested to learn more about the NRG unit and the install process to retain the clock spring.
