In the quarter mile world, the term "fastest" typically refers to top MPH, while "quickest" refers to lowest elapsed time. In the road course and time trials/time attack world, we tend to see "fastest lap time" used for lowest elapsed times. Wouldn't it be "quickest lap time"?
