I'm pretty sure that's the plan.
Might be an over seas thing....that wasn’t English at the bottom.

Ford Rangers are a big seller outside of the US for a while now, I was looking at the L5 Duratorque as a great tow car. The diesel is very economical and has lots of torque.
Well Jamal Hameedi hints at the Ranger Raptor being available in the US. Let's hope so. I'd live an F-150 Raptor but don't want to drive a vehicle that massive. The Ranger Raptor should be just the right size.
Hope it goes to the US! That way the aftermarket suppliers will come up with lots of goodies. Right now you have to order from Australia or Europe and only limited items.
Why wouldn't Ford want to to offer a Ranger Raptor here? There would seem to be a great demand here if it was! As many have stated a F150 is a little too big for their needs.
Here's what seems like solid info on the new Ranger.
wonder what the frame will be like. The raptor wasnt strong enough to start with. Curious how this one will stack up. Sucks you only get one engine choice but if it can tow well, then I guess it will be fine.
Damn. Starting to want this. Seeing the prototype Ranger at Knott's didn't help.
I wish! Pretty sure the association won't approve making the double into a triple-wide/double-high with a pit in one bay! Maybe if I put in some fake windows in the second level...
You city folks. LOL.
I simply added a 1200 sq/ft shop. No problems with that.
Although I will have to make nice with my neighbor today. I found my dog in their chicken coup, chickens on the outside. I asked her(my dog) what happened, she blamed the chickens. Who knew the birds would open the gate and let the dog in??
Dam Chickens!! Always trying to make trouble! Hope this is the same Ranger that has been selling around the world for a while. If it is then finally should have all kinds of upgrades available soon. For work, the duratorq engine would be just fine.
There were thousands of Ford Rangers in Afghanistan. The USG supplied then to the Military and police. A good strong truck.
Thats good to hear, they don't make Defenders any more so looking for a new work beast.
With Ford cutting back on their production of cars, their new focus (pun intended) on trucks and such may be to our advantage...................
looking at this for my next daily driver
I Guess future fuel prices will be a major influence!
Yep, I'm doing the same thing. I'm also interested in the new Bronco as well. It looks like with a lighter trailer the Ranger may be more than capable of towing my car. Stuffing track wheels and tires plus all the supporting gear in my car is getting old.
