That really sucks, I used to look forward to his interviews on Dave Despain's show before Fox hosed it all up with the :Endless NASCAR Hour".

He always told it like it was and never played favorites. Always could count on him to scoop the news , but give it an honest shake as well as insightful and humorous.He not only broadcasted and wrote with fervor about Motorsports , he had the enduring passion which made drivers , spectators, and enthusiasts listen/read his every word. Sad day with him and Bob Jenkins both passing away so soon, old style Sports Announcers that will be remembered for a long time.

I remember when they created pit lane speed limits, his comment was
" Gordon Johncock used to come down pit road at 140 and never hit anything"
