Rock Chip, Where can I get?

I have a rock chip on my hood decal ( White,on Kona Blue) It stands out really bad. I wanted to replace it then have my 3M clear Defender installed.
Does anyone know if the Hood decals from Ebay are the same texture and shine as original stripe?
I priced one at Ford and the RETAIL price was $ 415.00
Can anyone get me a Ford Price cheaper? Id like to put a Ford original on if I could.

No problem, thats what we're all here for.
I'm sure he can custom make one to go closer to hood front (like '69 did) if you'd like, and someone has an avitor in YBM with Boss 302 cut into the hood decal.
Now's your chance to be unique. Or keep it OEM if you like.

Not to hijack the thread but is the roof on the Kona Blue Boss painted or is it a decal also? (I am in the process of negotiating for a "new" '12.

The roofs are painted, not decals. Well, I'm assuming both the white and black roofs are done in the same fashion. ;D

Maybe I'll buy 1 Ford one to store and one of these for now, I kniw how Ford makes original equipment obsolete really quick now.

I would try some touch up paint first, before replacing the entire decal. Rock chips are going to happen, this probably won't be the last one.

The only differance between the aftermarket is...... OEM decal is one peice clear vinyl with the backside painted along with the pin stripe. anotherwords when you remove the OEM decal the entire decal comes up even the pin stripe. Aftermarket decals have pinstripe seperate on the same sheet. As for looks (glossy) the finish was the same. The beauty is...for the cost of the decal you can change it to change the look several times and still not cost as much as the OEM. I went from Gloss Black to Matt Black to Coustom Decal to No Decal to ordering a templet to paint the strip on. all these decals and was under $200. your call.
