Been a couple minutes since I've updated this, I've had some of my other projects occupying my time. I got a set of quickjacks, actually, my wife did. I think she felt sorry for me with the floor jack and jack stands. And they work great! My car sits so low they won't slide under without assistance. It's too low, I decided it was time to raise it up. I installed a set of Founders Performance camber plates to get the spherical bushing and get away from the cheap SCS plates. Side affect was they lowered the front another inch and cats and trans scoop would drag going uphill out of southbend into oaktree at VIR. I ended up going with Steeda competition springs #555-8241 which are linear. I removed the Whiteline springs which have the same free height as the Steedas. Measured wire diameter:
Whiteline: F .543" R .479"
Steeda: F .620" R .420"
I left the rear swaybar in the lightest position and moved the front swaybar one hole lighter. I also moved the rear upper control arm to it's top mounting hole. It was in the lower hole for shorter intersect point for drag racing. I put my street tires back on it since tonight I'm going to Track Attack at Dominion Raceway, figured it was a cheap way to check out the track closest to me.

I enjoyed Dominion Raceway, it's a 2 mile track with a 1/2 mile straightaway. I'll probably go back again. The Steeda springs did well, minimal body roll and not unpleasantly stiff either. It was my 1st time with street tires on track, they seemed kinda squirmy compared to Proxes RRs. It was paced laps so I didn't push it very hard. Ride height is definitely higher, looks almost stock again. Lol

I bought a set of used gt500 18×9.5 wheels and ordered a set of Continental Extreme Contact Force tires in 275/35r18. I thought these would be good wet weather track tires and being narrower and a 200 treadwear will keep me in a lower class if I decide to pursue time trails. Maybe they will help me find some more skill, lol.

The Continental tires worked very well at Dominion on a mostly dry surface. 35 psi hot gave me even temps across the rear tires and still about 5°f cooler on the outside of the front. I'm thinking of going from -3.3° to -3.0° camber on the front. The new springs handled well too. The car still seems to be balanced, no understeer/oversteer. My front brakes squealed badly with the dtc-70 pads on the front. I'm going to de-glaze the front and rear rotors and try dtc-60 pads front and rear, since I already had pads, lol. I've had everything show up for my DOB blower kit, except for one part.

I decided to upgrade from the 4 point harnesses that came with the harness bar to 5 point camlock sfi harnesses. I'm also installing a cool shirt water air system so I don't melt at VIR at the end of July. I'm thinking the cooler will fit nicely in the spare tire well.

And my neighbor in the paddock at Dominion had a nice spec iron car he runs in tt4 if I recall correctly.

I ended up replacing the tongue jack with a different electric one and installed it with a Jack-e-up which allows you to remove the jack from the tongue mount and move it back 7" so the tailgate will open. I've been gathering trailer gear and car parts and dragging ass on installing them. I did finally get the car back on jack stands and checked my brake temp paint, the color was very similar on all 4 corners. I noticed under heavy braking from 130+ it feels like the rear of the car sways a little. I'm thinking it's from too much rear braking. I'm going to go from DTC60 to DTC70 front pads and see if it fixes my swaying. Should have more soon.

I almost forgot! I may have put a deposit on a DOB kit last spring when I was still thinking drag racing. The follow up email and payment came due and Jason upgraded some of my parts for road racing and some of the parts are showing up.

What did that rotor paint color translate to in heat range?

That's probably about right, should be in the sweet spot for dtc 70/60 bias. I'm probably gonna give the paint a shot to see where I'm at but that stuff is pricey! You're running the gt500 rears right?

It is pricey. I got mine of Amazon. GT500 rotors on the rear with adapter bracket for calipers.

Being in my second year as a business owner, working on the rest of the fleet, and dealing with an aging parent hasn't left much time for me to get to the track. Things have changed enough that I once again have some free time. So time to install some accumulated parts!
All my remaining pieces from Department Of Boost arrived a couple months ago and I've been itching to install them. I turned my trailer into an area to layout everything. GT450-450HP kit with M122 blower and air inlet, insulated intake and intercooler, 1.25 hoses for intercooler, radiator size intercooler, pulleys and belt, ATI balancer, and lots more. I also found locally a Watson roll bar and battery relocation kit.
I've had a pair of Comp 127200 nsr cams for a while that I'm trying to decide on installing at the same time. Anyone have any experience with them?
I'll take pictures and share as I go along.

Making progress on the supercharger install. Swapped all pulleys from 6 to 8 rib, except for one (it's in the mail). It uses a 12% od ATI super damper and doubles up the tensioner (Frankentensioner). Stock intake replaced with billet intake and intercooler assembly. Heat exchanger is about 4 inches thick and uses -20 fittings and 1-1/4" hoses. Kit uses some gt500 take offs like the m122 supercharger, inlet elbow & throttle body. Also replaced the goofy heater hose contraption with regular hoses. And changes to the later more normal engine cooling system routing with 170° t-stat on outlet of intake.

Stop what you are doing and go over to project superbeater, it goes into the heater hos eissue in depth. You may not want to just replace those hoses with regular heater hose, and I don't want to see you have to take it apart again.
I kinow you are aware of it since you posted there.

I don't think the metal tube will fit under the new intake manifold. It's low enough you have to cut half of the head off the knock sensor bolts. I had to whack a corner off the intake flange too. I reused the plastic fittings, since they are in good condition, and installed the plastic shielding on the new hoses near the bellhousing area. The 3/4" hose returns to the front of the intake manifold. The 5/8" hose goes all the way up to the rear of the waterpump housing. You can see the hose, nipple, and temp sensors under the front of the new intake.

Ok, gotcha, I've put a few blowers on, I didn't want you to get ahead of yourself. Do you install that restrictor in that application?
No, but per your suggestion I managed to remove the bottom 3/4" nipple and threaded a pipe plug into it. I drilled a 1/4" hole through the plug. I think I may have given myself premature arthritis when trying to thread the nipple back in under intake behind bracket. Lol

Slowly making progress, ATI balancer installed, trying to fine tune some of the pulley alignment, and routing vacuum/boost lines and fuel lines. The radiator for the intercooler is rather large and required some component relocation: horn removed, bend metal under hood latch, move steering cooler behind condenser. The mounting brackets included worked very well for the radiator and coolant pump. I'm thinking I will replace the plastic shields on both ends of the condenser with something else, rubber perhaps. I'm guessing they keep frontal air from going around the radiator? And the old chrome elanor grille is refinished in satin black and will have MG headlight shields mounted over fog light openings. Trying to decide on square or diamond pattern orientation. Opinions?
