OK, I bought a sandwich plate to add an oil pressure sensor and gauge pod. What should I torque the adapter nipple to that fastens the plate to the oil filter stud? Thanks in advance...

John

Torque Spec for the Oil to Water Cooler fitting is 43 lb-ft. Oil Filter Spec is 13 lb-ft, so you want to torque somewhere between these two values. I have two plates -- the first for sensors that I torqued to 18 lb-ft, the second for Air/Oil that I torqued to 16 lb-ft.

OK, perfect. That is quite the stack up you have there. Did you remotely mount the sensor or did you mount the sensor to the plate directly? They recommend remotely mounting the sensor on engines where vibration could pose a problem and with that many stacked up, that could multiply the forces...

Thanks again for the feedback!

I mounted the sensors directly to the first sandwich plate.

The stack isn't as big as you may have thought as I've removed the Stock Oil/Water cooler. A combined sensor/cooler sandwich plate wouldn't package with the cooler removed, which is why I ended up with 2 plates....
