I keep 'playing' with the numbers...

'11 Premium GT base delivered was $33,695.
'12 Boss base delivered was $41,105
'15 Premium GT base is $36,100 (I assume delivered)
'15 Base GT is $32,100 (again assume delivered)
Current GT Perf. Pack is $2,495
Current Recaro is $1,595 (same delta for Base and Premium) Used to be $1,695 IIRC.

The Base Boss was about $10k over a Base GT and about $8,000 over the Base PremiumGT. This assumes all engine, suspension, part and development costs.

Starting with the '15 GT Premium:
.................................$36,100
Boss to GTP Delta........$ 8,000
MagneRide..................$ 2,500 delta over the Boss Tokicos
New Recaros say ........$ 2,000 since they're upgraded a bit more
Brake delta..................$ 3,000
Front End & Body........$ 2,500 Delta for panels, etc. add for CF.
Tire delta....................$ 500 Delta over Boss P Zeros
--------------------------------------
MSRP Total $52,800

If I start with the Base GT and the 10k delta, the price is 2k less...

If I take the MagneRide out of my original estimates...I think I pretty much nailed the costs. ;D

Now I think I can check all the boxes I want!! 8)

The base 350 will not have the Magneride. You have to select one Tech or Track to get it.

Understood! My 'original' estimates had MagneRide in the base. Take that ~$2,500 cost out of my $51k to $53k base numbers then it's right there with what you posted.

Now that's within 1-2% error range. Pretty close in my book. ;D

Very good with the numbers. Its still hard to understand how FORD got these numbers so Low. Go Ford Go.

Ditching the CCBs as Rick noted was a big deal, but Ford knows how to leverage a specialty product from its regular production line. That's why I could estimate the costs compared to the Boss program.

I really wonder if the FPC was cheaper to develop compared to the Boss engine as a stand-alone cost.

How would that be the case given how much more different the Voodoo is from the Coyote than the Road Runner? Voodoo shares almost no parts. Even the block is a new casting.

The Boss engine is more different than the Coyote than most understand. IIRC, over 90% of the parts are different. Most of the development cost (IMO) was getting the parts to handle 7,500 and 8,200 RPM. In both flow and durability. A lot of that data between the Coyote and Cobra Jet programs could be transferred to the FPC engine.

Voodoo's main costs for development (again IMO) would be mainly the vibration and higher RPM targets. Most of the groundwork would be laid out from previous engines. I wouldn't be surprised if total engineering time was half or two-thirds of the Boss engine development.
