I have the Sparco Rev II seats, which I believe are the older version of the EVO. I used the Sparco base brackets specific to the S197’s along with the Sparco side mounts. I started out with the Sparco sliders too but quickly removed them and went fixed mount. Too much play in the sliders. If you’re dead-set on sliders, Recaro seem to be more solid. Read through this recent thread on seat bases - it’s for S550’s, but the info is applicable to our cars.Who’s running sparco evo in s197? I have a 2011 and am wondering exactly what I need to order. Preferably a sliding base instead of fixed

Thank you for the info. I’ve never installed racing seats before. Any lessons learned or things I should be aware ofI have the Sparco Rev II seats, which I believe are the older version of the EVO. The seat itself is easy. Where it gets more complex is the compromises between track vs street on the restraint system. Street driven with air bag, the stock seat belts should be used. The buckle side on our cars is attached to the OE seat frame, so you’ll have to make sure the seat base you choose has a tab for mounting the buckle (the Sparcos do, not sure about the others). Buckling it was cumbersome with the high sides of the race seat, and honestly I didn’t spend much time on it before pulling the stock belts out - mostly because I was 95% track, 5% street. Others have made the stock belts work so it can be done - I just can’t offer any tips/tricks.Thank you for the info. I’ve never installed racing seats before. It is but a small price to pay for what we do.In addition to everything already shared I’d also remind folks even the Sparcos (which are shallow for a race seat) are *much* more difficult to get in and out of in parking spaces.
