Suspension work

Hey I was at a track day a few weeks ago and met a guy who lowered his GT about an inch or so and it looked awesome.

I don't know much about all this but would lowing the car help with the handling? Is anyone upgrading their suspension or does it not need it??

An obvious choice for springs would be Steeda Sports which are popular with GT owners. They lower the car one inch in front and just over that in the rear on a GT so a bit less on a Boss. It's been rumored that using the stock suspension and just lowering the car will mess with the balance. The only way to tell for sure would be to record lap times before and after. Give it a shot and let us know how it works. ;) I would love to lower my car using the Steeda Sport springs but I'm waiting for test results using lap times before I make a move.
