Thanks for the responses guys. NT01's are looking most comparable to the budget aka wife. However she did approve PSC2's for 19's.

Good choice, I think you will like the Nittos.... Beware of getting the Conti GT-I tires from the Hoosier sale. I actually went faster in the Nitto NT555II extremes then I did in the Contis. The Nittos lasted about three times longer

One more thing to throw in the mix is remember that every tire manufacturer will have a different section width and tread width even though both manufacturers call it a "305". For example, my PZero Slick 305/660/18 was about the same tread width as the NT01 285. The NT01 305 was significantly wider than the PZero 305. Look at the recommended wheel width when you make your choice. You will be fine running a 305 Pirelli PZero slick on SVE Drift 18x10 wheels. I run the same tire on my SVE Drifts with no issues on 18x10's and it's great because I can rotate tires on all 4 corners. Good luck in your decision

I'm not a big fan of the NT01's either. They are very soft and make the car feel like you've changed the spring rate. Of course I was on Pzero slicks so stepping down to an NT01 the car felt very numb and soft. The NT01's are just too soft and don't give enough feedback for my liking. On the plus side they are very easy to drive and predictable at the limit.

@Cobrarob @Flyboygsxr

Thanks for the heads up. I do understand that going with NT01's will be a step down from PZERO Slicks. Since the slick are free to me i will use them first and then go with the NT01's. You mention they feel squishy but did they grip ok?

Does anyone have pictures of 305's mounted on the car?

Here is one with 305/35-18 NT555 II. The rears stick out a bit but the fronts tuck in nicely with over 2 degrees camber

Thanks, nice to have pro photographers at the track!

Just as a point of reference. With a new set of street Dunlops DZ2 275/35-19 I got a best of 55.8 seconds, Nitto 555II in 305/35-18 got it down to 54.8 and now with Dunlop DZ03 semis in 295/30-18 I am stuck at 54.6.

A more stock mustang then mine, with 295/30-18 Hoosier A7's, gets 53.8 when the tires are new. I hope to get to 53 flat when I switch to A7's.
